What does REG-31 mean?

Your GST registration has been suspended. This happens automatically when REG-17 (show cause for cancellation) is issued, or when significant mismatches are found. During suspension, you cannot issue tax invoices.

• If the demand is wrong, file the response with supporting documents and reasoning.
• If you are unsure, get a CA to review the notice before the deadline.
